John Lawson was born December 02, 1967. He works for the Dept. of Corrections( Division of Prison Industries).
Originally from Shelbyville, Ky. John makes his home in Frankfort.
He is a four year veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps.

John first started playing guitar in 1977 with a Gibson guitar he recieved as a Christmas gift from his folks. John considers himself somewhat of a folk artist and loves acoustics music. He joined FlattCreek in 2002 as rhythm guitarist and some vocal capacities. John enjoys the "simple life" and the outdoors.

John is an avid backpacker, paddler and snow skier. He even skydived for ten years. John loves taking his hound dog Elly May
on long walks and spending time with his family.
