Rob first came to Frankfort in 1975. Started playing music at about 16 when he realized that music was more his style than sports. 'Heck, I can play music until I'm 70, 80, 90(alright let's not push it), not so with foot ball'.

'I started thinking about playing seriously when I saw Jeff Penn on guitar and Brian Butler on the piano in 1976 playing some tunes together in Brian's basement. I got this grin on my face that was absolutely impossible to wipe off the entire time they played. I knew then that music wasn't just a spectator sport.'

Rob first played with Jeff Penn in the regionally popular variety band Bandit in the 70's and currently plays Upright bass in Flattcreek, as well as electric bass in 'The Velvet X band', also from Frankfort.
